PRE-MOUNT

Ages 2-4. Made just for our energetic little ones. This class is a perfect introduction to the world of movement and creativity through our Acro Clinic. During each session, children will embark on a playful journey that includes basic acrobatic skills such as rolling, crawling, jumping, balancing, and more. These activities are carefully designed to enhance motor skills, spatial awareness, and body control, all while having fun and building confidence.

THE BASE

Ages 3-5. The base is our combination class consisting of Jazz and Tap. Students will learn basic dance steps, motor skills, musicality and learn to work in a classroom setting through fun and creative lessons.

HIP HOP

Ages 3+. A fun, high-energy class that uses the latest sounds in music to give each student an opportunity to develop their own sense of style as well as enhance their coordination, strength, and endurance. This class focuses on teaching fundamental Hip-Hop movements through basic body isolations, freestyling, grooves, and choreography.

BALLET

Ages 3+. A technical dance form that is considered to be the foundation of all dance forms. Students are taught correct body placement, application, and vocabulary. Classes are designed to help develop strength, poise, and grace.

CONTEMPORARY

Ages 6+. Combines contemporary movements with classical ballet and jazz technique. Dancers will learn improvisational techniques that express freedom of movement, as well as learn combinations that test the same mind and body relationship.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Ages 6+. At its simplest form is the practical application of sports science to enhance movement quality. It’s grounded in evidence-based research and physiology of exercise and anatomy. We all move and therefore we can all benefit from a better quality of movement. Some of the major benefits could include injury prevention, improved performance, strengthen bones, improved posture and enhanced general health.

JAZZ

Ages 6+. An exciting and ever evolving dance form full of rhythm, syncopation, passion and life. Classes explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, ribcage, feet and arms and encourage individual expression and the development of personal style.

ACRO CLINIC

Ages 5+. This class will focus on a variety of acrobatic skills and techniques. Our experienced instructors will guide students through each skill, focusing on proper techniques and safety precautions. Students will develop their flexibility, balance, coordination, and strength though acrobatic movements and strength training. Each student will receive one on one spotting and instruction as they go across the mat and through each station so that they can build strength and confidence in their body’s ability.

TAP

Ages 6+. A form of dance tapped out audibly by means of shoes with hard soles or soles and heels to which taps have been added. Our focus is to improve the student's sound clarity, rhythm and musicality, timing and phrasing.

YOGA

Ages 8+. A practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health. Yoga was developed as a spiritual practice thousands of years ago. Here at Summit, we do yoga not only for exercise or to reduce stress, but for its spiritual connection that keeps us grounded to the base.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Ages 6+. A theatrical dance style that includes dance technique and acting to songs from broadways and musicals. These dance numbers usually consist of a story being told or a character being formed.

DRESS CODE

Proper attire is essential for our dance classes as it helps create a focused and unified environment. While we recommend items from our merchandise wall, please note that you are not required to purchase them directly from us. Feel free to explore alternative options that meet our dress code guidelines.
