This is our basic membership. This plan offers access to one class in our program that will meet at a schedule time weekly for training. Our MOST POPULAR membership! Offered only to the first 99 registrations, after that the price increases to $125/month. This plan offers unlimited access to as many classes as you’d like. Classes meet at a schedule time weekly for training. Placement for classes is at the discretion of the studio owner and faculty. One costume is required for EACH class that you decide to enroll in for our annual performance at the end of the season. *Please note that this membership does NOT include access to our Acro Clinic. For families with multiple students enrolled, we will offer a 10% discount when using the Acro Clinic add on. Families with 3 or more students will get an additional 10% off the unlimited program. You will choose multiple from the following options:

The MOST FUN plan! Access to our adult program is 18+ only. Available alone or used as an add on. This plan can be combined with our basic membership or our unlimited membership. Our adult classes are being held on Friday nights. Drop-in price for classes are $15 each but you can save BIG by registering for this membership and get unlimited access to all adult classes offered. Performance in the annual showcase is optional and you will get the chance to sign up closer to that date for a separate one-time low fee. One costume is required for our annual performance at the end of the season. You will choose one or multiple from the following options:

  • Adult Tap

  • Adult Jazz

  • Adult Hip Hop

  • Yoga

  • Occasionally on the schedule you will see a pop up heels class and Buti Yoga

Access to our PEAK PERFORMANCE TEAM! Used as an add on to our basic or unlimited plans, this is our competitive membership and is offered to dancers who are looking for a more intense technical training and to further their career in dance at a competitive level. Students are chosen by skill, motivation, and dedication. This may be through invitation, audition or upon teacher recommendation. Price is per dancer. You must have a discussion with the studio director prior to enrollment. Many additional hours of training are put into this program along with the following:

  • Progressive Ballet training

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Dance Conventions

  • 5-7 Regionals locally (not all Mandatory*)

  • National Finals

  • Annual Peak Performance Team Showcase

  • Miscellaneous events the performance team may be inquired for.

This plan gets you access to our incredible Acro Clinic. Ages 5+. Available alone or used as an add on. This plan can be combined with our basic membership or our unlimited membership. The clinic will meet at a schedule time weekly for training. Placement for clinic is solely at the discretion of the acrobats director and can change throughout the season. This will depend on the students growth. Performance in the annual showcase is optional and you will get the chance to sign up closer to that date for a separate one-time low fee. All levels will perform together in one production number and get the chance to display everything they have learned in the clinic. One costume is required for our annual performance at the end of the season.

OTHER ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

  • $25 per student due at time of registration. non-refundable.

  • $90 each billed in 3 increments from October thru December. Plus tights price TBD

  • $25 per half hour. $40 per hour. Prices may vary based on instructor and availability.

  • Individual and group photos will be scheduled for each class and offered in digital form at $50 per child and will give you access to all photos taken of your child.

  • Tickets will be $30 per person. Video will be an optional expense offered in DVD form and digital at $30

  • Prices will vary on merchandise needed for each class. Please refer to our class description to see what is needed.

Rules and Expectations

Class Observation

When observing a class we ask that you do not distract the dancers. You are never permitted to enter the classroom without permission unless a dire emergency. When watching classes on our screen monitors please be mindful of others around you. 

Dress Code

Please refer to our class description page for full dress code policy. Refunds will not be given if a student is asked to sit out from class due to incorrect dress code.

Weather

Incase of any cancellations or delays due to weather please call the studio or check our Facebook / Instagram page @summitdancecenter for updates. Refunds on memberships are not provided if classes are cancelled due to weather. Make up dates may be announced in replace of a cancelation.

Class Placement

Class placement is determined by many factors including age and skill level but will be determined by the SDC faculty only. For their safety, please allow our faculty to decide the best way a dancer can reach their full potential. Evaluation is done throughout the year. Classes are subject to change at any time.

Memberships

Everything will be billed through your portal. Cash or credit are the only acceptable forms of payment and can also be made through your online portal or our app. Payment is due monthly and can be automatically withdrawn on the 13th of each month. If wanting to avoid automatic withdrawal, you will have the option to pay cash or use a different card for a one time payment but must be done before the 13th to avoid late fees. Monthly price remains the same regardless of attendance. Weather will affect our schedule and we will try our best to make up any cancellation if needed. Refunds are not given for any missed class for any reason. Balances must be up to date in order to participate in our programs. Any balance past 60 days due will be subject to late fees. Any balance past 90 days will result in cancelation of membership. Refunds are not given if a membership is cancelled after 60 days. We do not accept checks.

REFUND POLICY

Upon registration, you agree to commit to our membership for the full 10 month season. Summit Dance center runs September-June. Student’s may drop or add classes with no penalty up to 60 days after the start of our season. Proper notification of your decision must be given directly to the studio director. Until such time as notification is given, the space will be held for the student and the charges invoiced to the parents.

If after 60 days you decide not to continue your training at Summit Dance Center you must submit a cancellation notice. You are responsible for the remaining years membership. All cancellations must be in writing and submitted by the end of the month you drop. Please note: If written notice is not received you will be billed additional late fees including re-choreography fees. CANCELLATION NOTICE MUST BE IN WRITING in the form of:

CANCELLATION BY PHONE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

No refunds will be given for any tuition, fees, costumes, or attire. You will forfeit any costumes purchased if your account is in arrears.

Respect

ALL students and parents are expected to respect each other and the staff at all times. Any other behavior will NOT be tolerated and your memberships will be cancelled. Refunds will not be given if a membership is cancelled after 60 days of enrollment.

Dance Season

Summit Dance Center will follow the New Bedford public schools system in regards to calendar breaks, holidays, and snow days. Our Season runs from September to June. Competitive students are required to participate in our annual Peak Performance Showcase. All students are required to participate in our Annual Performance Showcase at the end of the season.

Discounts

For families with multiple students enrolled, we will offer a 10% discount when using the Acro Clinic add on. An additional 10% will be added per child if using the Peak Performance Team add on.

FUNDRAISING

We will be participating in many fundraising opportunities throughout the year. Fundraising is voluntary. If you decide to participate, you will receive a list of what to sell and how much money will go into your account. Each student who participates will have their own account for their earnings. All earnings can be used for costumes, merchandise, competition fees, conventions, tuition, etc.

OTHER

Students should arrive on time ready to dance and according to the dress code. Our faculty does not guarantee supervision of anyone dropped off too early or picked up late from class. Good Attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. The best way for a child to develop is to attend class on a regular basis. Students with a perfect attendance will be awarded a trophy at our annual awards banquet along with many other superlatives they may be nominated for. Summit Dance Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen items left in our facility. Upon signing the registration form you agree to all terms and conditions listed on our website. You also give permission to Summit Dance Center to use any photo and video taken during trainings and performances for advertisement and educational purposes.
